The love story between our clients and their St Tropez home
Although from differing upbringings, as teenagers, our clients would each visit the Cote d’Azur and Riviera di Levante with their parents for summer vacations. It is the nostalgia of these trips that lead to the couple buying property in St Tropez.
With their primary residence in Surrey, the couple wished to utilise convenient air travel to the Riviera to maximise their time there, whilst allowing our client to remain focused on his business dealings in London.
With a desire to create new memories in the region with friends and a young family, our clients asked us to redevelop a property inline with the traditional vernacular of local houses, whilst introducing the modernity and sophistication of the interior design that Bonham & Bonham had previously delivered for them in their Surrey home.
With a successful background in fashion, our client chose to work closely with our design team to add her personal touch to the space, one which is bold and playful, yet relaxed - a very valuable partnership. Our team is quite used to all levels of collaboration with clients, from those who like to be involved in every detail, to others who prefer to set a loose brief and receive the keys upon project completion!
A significant aspect of the development of this project was the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, especially as our clients planned to spend time dining and entertaining al fresco. The external Lounge, Pool, Kitchen and Bar is the perfect environment for hosting friends and extended family. Our landscape and interior design teams work as one to ensure internal and external spaces work harmoniously.
